eBay added new tools for buyers easily find YOUR auctions
eBay continues to gear toward attracting buyers and helping them find what they
need more easily. Here are a couple of tools added in Nov/Dec:
eBay Guest Buying is now site-wide
They first started testing “guest buying” a few months ago in a bid to increase
sales from non-eBayers. The results — eBay saw a “significant” increase in
first-time visitors to purchasers using the new feature. This means that, a site
visitor without a full eBay account can now purchase items being sold on eBay.

This is an easy to use new way to discover great deals on eBay — in this case,
for auction listings with a low price that are ending soon.
It’s an interesting way to search for items because each item listed in the results
has a dynamic countdown timer to let you know how much more time is remaining for
each item.
As you can see from the screenshot below:
- * Items ending in less than a minute show the time ticking down in red
* Items ending under ten minutes show up in green.
you can at least try to up your chances by offering competitive shipping rates.
Using the Dealfinder, searchers can refine their search by price which includes
shipping cost.Tip: You can also use the Dealfinder to scoop up some cheap items and resell them
for a profit!Also worth mentioning is the pending new “Go-local eBay search tools”…
…Over the next few weeks, eBay will be adding tools to help buyers find your local
items more easily. When they do a search for items suited to local pick-up, they’ll see
an eBay recommendation asking if they’d like to view items based in their local area.
To make sure your items are found by buyers in your local area, include your zip code
in your item location during the listing process. Stay tuned.
